finally had some peace of mind during july.. not much but enough to allow some brainrot to set in ! god bless yaoi (╯˘ -˘ )╯ it was a fun month for media ! warning for more detailed spoilers than usual tho,,

nimona was such a good ass movie oh my god?! literally everything I ever needed and never knew… the themes, the dialogue, the animation, the soundtrack… it was all so perfect T__T and THE HUMOR TOO I didn't stop laughing for a second, I was completely immersed. I can't name a single thing that I would've done differently for this movie.. except maybe the ending it was kinda unnecessary imo but I also Get It. I'm just incredibly happy that this exists in general and how it was framed and presented it's an incredibly beautiful movie
then unfortunately I didn't have the chance to enjoy the barbenheimer experience back to back but I Did go watch barbie And oppenheimer at the movies! and it's been so long since I've gone it was sooo nice to be able to see both on the big screen T__T
barbie was a crazy movie omg…. literally changed lives…. I cried twice and everything like I love the deeply moving messages wrapped up in all the humor and the fun and the weirdness and the insanely beautiful aesthetic of the movie it felt like an alternate universe experience. the only thing that kinda threw me off was america ferrera's character like I loved her and her monologue towards the end about being a woman made me BAWL but I just wish they'd given more depth to her story and her relationship with her daughter I feel like it would've made it all hit a little harder. otherwise WONDERFUL, especially the ending with the montage and the crazy ass soundtrack it was just too good.. being a girl and being a woman really truly is that serious. and the existentialism really got me too ngl
the oppenheimer existential crisis didn't hit as hard probably bc I went to watch it a week later than barbie and I was more mentally prepared due to the nature of the film ig.. but it was still an insane movie. like it was so masterfully done christopher nolan never disappoints omg… the sound and the soundtrack for this movie were especially insane… the way it upped the tension and haunted oppenheimer throughout the movie gave it such and intricate new layer it was fucking crazy. and the bomb part was just as insane the way the sound went in that bit was so crazy anxiety-inducing but also perfect for the moment seriously. when it started I was a bit worried about the back and forth between the past and the present but it was actually not that hard to follow at all and it really carries the story towards that perfect ending which was just insane. also the way every time a new known actor appeared on-screen it was like the barbie cameos too.. I would've never believed you before if you'd told me josh peck was the one who set off the ATOMIC BOMB… and then he went and ran over oprah too…. anyway it was a crazy (positive) experience and I loved the way the story was set up and how it shows the internal world of oppenheimer as well as set up basically everything including moral intentions behind the bomb. what a good ass movie. also it made me realize that u.s. nationalism is kinda crazier than I thought… like ppl are actually insane like that omg…
shin kamen rider was just bad.. I loved shin ultraman so I was excited about this one thinking it would be something similar but the story was so badly constructed, the pacing was off and it was just so hard to follow. it was just a bunch of nothing for no reason and this is coming from someone who loves boring movies but this wasn't even good boring it was just pointless all throughout. the battles were good tho, at least, and so were the visuals. but that's about it T__T it was honestly just too sad how genuinely disappointing this was
then I randomly watched pirates of the caribbean for the first time in my life and I definitely get the hype now it was indeed very good. sometimes you Do forget the power of a food action movie. even though I was getting kinda sick of the fight sequences by the end but the story was enough to keep me at the edge of my seat until the very end. also ORLANDO AND KIERA <3 those are my parents fr the visual was enough to carry me through the entire movie. j***** d*** being the protag was unfortunate indeed but at least I was watching it illegally lol. might watch the rest when I need something silly to keep me going

I wasn't expecting this to be such a good show but I totally fell in love with it omg bocchi was actually so me T__T but seeing her character development and the story progress was soooooo fun and the fact that the animation was so fucking unserious sometimes just made it extra fun. I loved the way they combined different styles to make her spirals funnier those were definitely my favorite parts + the music was also SOOOO good and I especially loved the lyrics they were all so pretty AAAAH this one was definitely an introvert win and I'm gonna miss this so bad
demon slayer: swordsmith village arc
what a good fucking anime… I can't get over it…. like it's always just so crazy good I love the characters I love the story I love the depth and the care that's put into each arc and each character background it's really insane just how incredibly good they manage to make each season omg I've never been bored. I do watch it all after it comes out tho because the progression of the story per episode is so short I Know I would lose patience watching it as it airs but that's really just pure personal preference lol and another thing is that I just wish they'd expanded a bit more on kanroji (my perfect, perfect wonderful beautiful powerful magical girl) and how she actually joined the demon slayer corps… holding out on hope that they'll show it again eventually but she's a big tiddie anime girl so my hopes aren't too high… either way I still fell soooooo in love with her character it's unreal she might beat shinobu for me she's just SO PERFECT. my wife <3 anyway incredible anime, incredible season, had the absolute best time watching this omg and I hope the one hour finals become a thing lol

why did this show get so bad….. the first three seasons were so good and since last season it's just been so mid and out of the loop like why were there so many loose strings??? since when did the plot get so flimsy??? the one thing that rescued the season and will inevitably get me to watch the next one is the dark-ish turn the whole thing took in the last like two episodes. otherwise it was just boring filler plot and mildly less boring but underdeveloped main plot with no rhyme or reason. even the calum/rayla ship isn't enough to keep my interest somehow they managed to fuck up the dynamics here too and the little quick fix they gave them was infuriating too. what are these people doing !!!!!!!!!!! not even virren's "redemption arc" could do it for me like what a poor excuse of a plot this season. can u tell I'm heated I liked this show so much but the past few seasons have really been the epitome of not it

I, like many others, didn't really feel it with the speak now re-recordings at first but mother is mother and they eventually grew up on me even if I'll always miss the og better than revenge lyrics... the most pleasant surprise this time around was haunted tho! it's a song I've never been particularly drawn to seen as this album has stuff like back to december and enchanted which have my name spelled all over them but I liked the re-rec soooooo much it became an instant album fav.. as well as I can see you !!! WHAT DID BLONDIE PUT IN THIS DAMN SONG !!! I think I probably listened to the other vault songs like once.. except for the fob and hayley collabs bc after all I'm still just a silly emo girl at heart but I couldn't get fucking enough of icsy omg
then ofc jebewons debut... MY PERFECT GROUP WITH THE PERFECT DEBUT ALBUM??? WHY ARE THEY CRAZY I seriously couldn't have asled for a better title track I love a good refreshing song and every single member fits the concept so well.. and the take on me sampling too like could they have made anything more addictive omg.. in bloom you are everything... and I was a big second fav at first too but lately I've been in a more our season mood.. but every single track is perfect seriously even back to zerobase tho I don't listen to it that much and nkotb also makes me so hype.. but always has a really special place in my heart ;-; every time I listen to it I find something more to love about it and although I was a shb 1st place shooter after debut I really feel like the center was always meant to be hao.. anyway more on that later maybe I'll make my own post abt it BACK TO THE MUSIC
vampire was a banger I get why people say it's more of the same but umm I love the consistency sorry and olivia knows how to make an angsty banger aka my biggest weakness so I am #seated for her new single lmaoo. and I WILL keep singing my heart out to vampire

dreamies album was also sooooo good. I wasn't expecting to like istj as much as I did but it was a slay they really knew what they were doing omg. the album was also really solid although aside from like we just met I don't really have any other specific songs I constantly seak out except maybe sos because THAT BRIDGE AT THE END??? CRAZY. makes the whole song worth it omf. I would inject it straight into my brain if I could. although there were other much loved songs like blue wave, skateboard and starry night the zb1 debut had me in such an insane chokehold I kinda casted my dreamies aside and didn't gravitate much towards their album to really fully experience seeking out their tracks more often. except for my token emotional manipulation storyful ballad I will ALWAYS be here for those like we just met you will always be famous. might even beat out either puzzle piece or rainbow and make it to the very top of my favorite emo dreamship songs.. she's definitely top 3 at least. HOWEVER I have been getting more in the dream mood lately ! so hopefully that means more album thoughts in the future
there's really not much else to say except well um newjeans makes good music sometimes I simply cannot help myself. it was a good album and I AM in fact supershy it just be like that sometimes. their mini is still in my regular rotation <3
I swear I've never been this insane...
- boys planet ep. 9-12: there’s a very good explanation for this actually.. when the show was still airing I got so busy I couldn’t watch any of these eps (except the finale.. that one was just masochism) even though I kept voting and survived off of twitter spoilers but yeah.. I really wanted to finish watching the eps I missed before zb1 debuted and watching so long after the finale aired was such a reality check bc I genuinely forgot these guys used to compete against each other LMAOOO like the gyuwook en garde center battle.. my poor pookie matthew’s struggle w the smn part distribution TT and this wasn’t in the eps I watched but it made me remember ricky’s beef with ma jingxiang lakjshdgf that shit was so funny looking back ngl.. but anyway it was fun reminiscing and watching these fe eps after knowing the full group already and seeing how they seemingly get along so well is very nice actually even if some of the guys that made it wouldn’t have been in my picks I’m actually starting to warm up to them.. always rooting for my pookies TAT it also helped me see some trainees that I never paid attention to in a different light like now that they're not "the competition" and it just really helped me warm up to them sm more

- gonna say the same thing I said on twitter here… why does everyone on this show get to link up with a girl but jeno gets CHENLE?! it was actually insane seeing chenle lie and jeno eat it all up omg he really is so pure and he said the purest things abt being happy with his members not knowing chenle was RIGHT THERE… I would’ve killed him. they did choose THE most perfect dream paring for this though I can’t… it was all v fun

help other than kpop I literally only watched barbie promo stuff.. what can I say I'm just a girl.. I watched the margot and ryan gosling puppy interview, 10 things ryan gosling can't live without and the somi interview with margot robie and america ferrera but the actual crossover I never thought we’d have but definitely the one we needed…
jaejae handled the interview so well and margot, greta and america have such fun chemistry together, they were perfect for this show
this was by far my fav video tho like I hate movie making but I love movie making… imagining this set is like imagining utopia if I had ever been there I would’ve never given up on the industry. my terrible personal experiences aside, I really do love hearing about how things are made on set and the process of filming it truly Can be magical when you work with people who know what they’re doing
