watching
guess who didn't watch anything this month… just like the month before… I knew uni was going to be extra time consuming this semester but not nearly as much as it actually is T__T it’s getting ridiculous at this point. I only managed to start watching spy x family s1 pt2 and I’m still like three episodes behind lmfao.. it’s still just as serotonin-inducing as the first part of the season though, god bless bc I really need it

aside from that I watched one (1) single short for one of my classes called reasonable request and like… it was certainly something. like it was actually very good but also very disturbing though I still really enjoyed it.

I did watch two plays this month though which made me very, very happy!!! I love theater but I never get many chances to watch it so this was great. the first one I watched was the dialogues of plato which tbh I didn’t understand much TT sorry for being uncultured but the language was hard to follow and I went with my class at like 5 p.m. my brain was melting. my prof was acting in it and he definitely saved the show, he added so much to the play that he actually made me want to try to get the hang of what was going on.

and the second play I watched was the last laugh by moliere which I enjoyed much, much more. it was super fun, the comedy was on point and the scenography and the costumes and the energy was just amazing the day we went to see it. if I’d had a chance I would’ve watched it a second time and everything tbh

no wait I lied I did watch a single movie this month lmao… scott pilgrim vs the world...
I had to watch this in two parts because I fell asleep around the one hour mark the first time I sat down to watch it but actually it was still very fun, like way more than I thought it would be. millennial it's cool to not care whatever humor doesn't really hit with me ig bc I’m Not a millenial but watching it under that context was fun + the shot composition, the editing, the music and the way the tried to make it look like a comic book was seriously so fucking cool if anything the artistry behind this made it all worth it

reading
I only read for my theater class this month actually it’s a little bit sad.. like not even a fic for me… I do appreciate all the plays we’ve been reading, though. I wasn’t a fan of all of them but I’d never really delved into theater like this before, especially just reading it, so despite everything I’ve been having fun. I’m not gonna talk abt everything I read so I’ll simply rank all the plays from best to worst

texts ranked
1. medea by aristophanes
2. antigone by sophocles
3. oedipus rex by sophocles
4. lysistrata by aristophanes
5. macbeth by shakespeare
6. antigone by jean anouilh

we will be moving from the beginnings of theater unit soon…..

and lastly I also read this article about kanye that I really liked. I’d been hearing people talk about the issue of him using his mental health as an excuse for his behavior for years but reading all of these testimonies combined was really, really insightful.

can you tell I liked the new taylor album... I can't help it sad girl music just always gets me T__T and not to mention how I am still very much in my atiny era help I think the only reason I even started using spotify again was bc I wanted to hear an ateez playlist LMAO. anyway it's not like I really used it that much but I've been rediscovering how good it is to melt your brain with music 24/7 now that I finally got a new speaker for my room and I've been trying to actively use spotify so all my music can get tracked so here's to a hopefully better listening month for me in november (though now that I think abt it I've been pretty much listening to the same shit over and over again... f)

anyway I actually really wanted to review comebacks and taylor's album in detail this month but physically and mentally I really just don't have the energy T__T so maybe I'll make a separate post or just save it for end of the year shennanigans massposting or something.. for now I think my spotify does actually kind of reflect my opinions on what I listened to this month.. lol

k-pop
icb this month I had the pleasure of experiencing the gayest little cover ever… and the fact that it was CHENJI… to be honest I still haven’t recovered because the lyrics are just so… can u be any more obvious?? PLEASE???out of every gay little troye sivan song you could’ve covered you chose the one about falling in love in your youth and running away together??? not to mention the visuals/aesthetic T__T they might send extremely mixed signals sometimes but I get them.. I always will…

other than that the only kpop content I watched this month was his… anyone else love it when k-pop idols and kids <3

overall
I'm ngl the vibes have been so disgustingly off lately idek what to do about it anymore... like can a normal month please just roll around I am seriously desperate... still trying to hold on though <3 I can't wait until the end of the year so I can cram three months worth of shows I've been meaning to watch into the three week holiday break we're getting
